Speaking after the game, Head Coach Thomas reflected on the team’s approach and the lessons drawn from a previous encounter with the Coldstore side. “Coming into this game, our main goal was to move the ball better, stay disciplined on defense, and remain mentally locked in for all four quarters,” said Coach Thomas. “We focused on playing as a group rather than relying on individual brilliance, and I think we executed that well.”
The Knights’ ball movement and defensive cohesion were apparent throughout the contest, particularly in the crucial moments when the game demanded composure. There’s still a lot of work to be done,” he emphasized. “We need to improve our transition defense, rebounding, and decision making under pressure. We’ve laid a strong foundation, but we know we’re not at our best yet.”
The coach also hinted at potential tactical tweaks ahead of their next matchup, guided by scouting reports and a commitment to staying true to their identity. “We’ll be looking to finish the first round strong and close it out undefeated. If we stay focused and stick to what makes us who we are, we’ll be fine.
